Student Conduct and Policies
STUDENT CONDUCT
All students are required to conduct themselves according to the Academy’s Policies and Rules of Conduct (see “Policies” section below) and to observe Academy rules and regulations (see “Rules of Conduct” and “Agreement of Participation” documents).
General Guidelines
Adherence to the Academy Rules of Conduct:
- Respect for all Academy participants, faculty, and staff members.
- Adherence to Academy schedule.
- Attendance at rehearsals, performances, and events.
- Adherence to Academy rules and regulations regarding alcohol and tobacco use and possession.
- Adherence to curfew for students younger than age 18
- Adherence to room visiting regulations at the Academy residence
- Completion of assigned duties.
Health
All students are required to have current valid health insurance. Student’s Insurance information must be provided before the start of the Program.

Anti-Discrimination Policy
Cremona International Music Academy does not tolerate discrimination or harassment based on age, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, national or ethnic origin, or physical or mental handicap.
Policies
All Academy participants must comply the Academy Rules of Conduct, and alcohol, drug, and smoking policies. Persons found in violation of any of the following rules will be subject to disciplinary action which may result in immediate dismissal with no refund:
- Inappropriate behavior toward faculty, guest artists, Academy staff, or other participants.
- Failure of the student to attend lessons, chamber music, ensemble, and orchestra rehearsals and perform in assigned concerts. Rehearsal absences may be excused only by the Academy Directors.
- Late arrivals and early departures without prior approval from the Academy Directors except in the case of a medical emergency.
- Failure to observe the curfew and room visiting regulations at the Academy residence.
- Theft or vandalism of personal or public property.
- All individuals must be at least twenty-one years of age to purchase, possess, or consume alcoholic beverages. It is illegal to purchase, furnish, deliver, or sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.
- Illegal drugs are prohibited.
- All individuals must be at least eighteen years of age to purchase, possess, or consume tobacco products. It is illegal to provide tobacco to anyone under the age of 18.
Disciplinary cases are a serious matter and will be dealt with immediately. If a participant is charged with violation of the rules or if disciplinary action is imposed on the participant, the staff member will contact the participant’s parent(s) or guardian(s). The disciplinary decisions are final.
