Hello, I`mFlurina Sarott
Flurina Sarott was born in 1989 in Scuol (GR). After completing her Matura, she studied at the Bern University of the Arts with Prof. Monika Urbaniak, graduating with distinction in May 2013 with a Master of Music Performance. In 2015, she earned her Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the Zurich University of the Arts under Prof. Nora Chastain, also with distinction.
Flurina is a prizewinner of various competitions and foundations. Among other awards, she received a grant from the Friedl Wald Foundation in 2012 and was honored in 2013 with an encouragement prize for young artists from the Canton of Graubünden.
Since September 2017, Flurina has served as an extra player with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. In 2020, she became a permanent member of the first violins of the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden, and in 2023 she joined the teaching staff of the Zurich Conservatory Music School.
Flurina is passionate about performing in string trio and piano trio formations, and since 2016 she has been a member of CHAARTS (Chamber Artists). Together with her brother, Janic Sarott, she forms a permanent duo and has recorded a CD featuring their own compositions.
